The Carolyn Cardi pattern was my mothers pattern she knitted for all her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews, the original pattern developed over time and was written down on a well used scrap of paper.

We have deciphered the notes and made this beautiful pattern and named it the Carolyn (Carol) Cardi after Mum.

Constructed from the bottom up with a delicate lace yoke, this vintage matinee jacket is sure to become a cherished piece for generations to come.

Available in both 3ply and 4ply versions to suit your preference. This pattern is available in printed format only.

Tension

• 3ply: 32 sts and 40 rows to 10 cm [4 ins] over stst on 3 mm [2.5 US] needles
• 4ply: 28 sts and 36 rows to 10 cm [4 ins] over stst on 3.25 mm [3 US] needles

Materials Required

For 3ply version:

• 2 x 50gm balls for 0-3 months, 2 x 50gm balls for 3-6 months
• One pair each size 2.5 mm [1.5 US] and 3 mm [2.5 US] knitting needles
• Stitch holders
• 3 buttons

For 4ply version:

• 2 x 50gm balls for 0-3 months, 2 x 50gm balls for 3-6 months
• One pair each size 2.75 mm [2 US] and 3.25 mm [3 US] knitting needles
