Frankie Sweater Woman (Petite Knit) - (10ply Adult)
Please note: this is a printed knitting pattern. It is not a digital download.
The Frankie Sweater is a relaxed, everyday sweater worked from the top down with classic raglan shaping and fine stripes throughout.
Short rows are worked at the back of the neck to create a better fit through the neckline, and from there the yoke is shaped with raglan increases. The body is worked in the round, and the sleeves are picked up and worked down from the armholes.
This is one of those pieces that looks simple but feels really considered once it’s on — the stripes add interest without being overwhelming, and the fit is easy to wear.

Our Yarn Recommendation
This is a great pattern for Outlaw Yarn Rebel Worsted.
It gives you:
-
Beautiful stitch definition (so the stripes stay crisp)
-
Enough structure to hold the shape of the sweater
-
A really nice balance of softness and durability
If you swap to a softer or superwash yarn, it will still work — just expect a more relaxed, drapey finish rather than that clean, slightly structured look.
Difficulty
★★★☆☆ (3 out of 5)
A great project if you’re comfortable with top-down garments and want something wearable with a bit of interest.
