Gather Sleeve Sweater

Gather Sleeve Sweater

Clean lines meet considered detail. The Gather Sleeve Sweater is a seamless, top-down pullover with gathered sleeve caps, drop saddle shoulders, voluminous balloon sleeves, a tied waistband, and a relaxed oversized silhouette — effortless to wear with just enough drama.

The back, shoulders, and front are constructed as a single piece before separating at the bust and rejoining at the underarms. The body is then worked in the round, with sleeves and neckband each picked up and worked in the round separately using the magic loop method.

Sizes & Finished Bust Measurements

Designed for 15–26 cm / 6–10" of positive ease. The sample is size C, worn on a 91 cm bust with approximately 26 cm ease.

  • 2.75 mm (US 2) circular needle, 80 cm / 40" cord recommended

Sleeves and neckline are worked using the magic loop method. A shorter cord or DPNs may also be used.

Notions

  • 4 stitch markers + 1 contrast marker
  • Yarn needle, scissors, scrap yarn, tape measure
  • Bodkin or safety pin
  • Optional: i-cord maker or similar tool

26 sts × 36 rows = 10 cm × 10 cm / 4" × 4" in stockinette stitch.

Too many stitches across 10 cm? Go up a needle size. Too few? Go down a needle size.
